is quite difficult to obtain reservations for this
limited attendance occasion. Reservations must be made in advance (the
general rule is at least 2 weeks prior to your desired
audience) and the only way to guarantee that the
reservation is accepted is by going to the Vatican
office in
person.
Our staff fills out the necessary papers in person.
When the tickets are issued on the Tuesday just before
the Wednesday papal audience, our staff goes back to the

Tour
leaves Rome and after a scenic drive through the Roman countryside, wineries
and by the Abbey of Montecassino, you arrive in the vibrant, historic
Naples. After a short
sightseeing drive around the city highlights, you proceed to nearby Pompei,
destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Enjoy
lunch in a local restaurant and then take a guided tour of the Pompei ruins.
From there you visit a Cameo factory, popular with people around the world.
Then drive along the coast to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight
stay in a four star hotel.
On
the second day, after breakfast, we take the ferry to Capri, where you visit the famous
"Blue

the last day, after breakfast, you have a morning at leisure then an early
afternoon transfer to Sorrento. From there we begin our return to Rome.

tour requires independent arrival and departure from Sicily. Our staff
will be happy to arrange transport for you from Rome or Naples by boat,
train or plane. We can also arrange accommodations along the way if you
wish to visit some areas such as the Amalfi Coast along the southern Italian coast either before or after
your tour of Sicily.
Tour
includes accommodations in four star Jolly Hotels, half board, ground

Arrive
in Palermo, Sicily to a welcome cocktail and dinner. Overnight in our four
star hotel. The next day visit the famous Grand Duomo
of Monreale. Return to Palermo and tour the city sights including
the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel in the Royal Palace and enjoy a
panoramic view of the historic center. After lunch, take an optional
excursion to the Catacombs and the handcrafts village of Mondello.
Dinner and overnight.
After
a buffet breakfast, a trip to Segesta for a visit to
the ancient Doric Temple with its history recorded in the stones.
Lunch at Erice mountainside medieval city located at 800 mtrs above
the sea with a stunning view of the unique
landscape. Then tour Trapani's salt mills. On to Agrigento, for dinner
and overnight in your hotel. After dinner enjoy an unforgettable
panoramic tour of the Valley of the Temples illuminated.
The
next day after a buffet breakfast, visit the Valley of Temples
including the Temple of Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor
& Pollux. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then visit the famous
Villa Romana del Casale famed for its well preserved
mosaics. Continue on to Syracuse. Dinner and overnight.
After
a buffet breakfast visit the archaeological area. Among the riches are the famous
"Latomie of the Paradise," the "Dionysus Ear."
Then visit the
baroque island of Ortigia. After lunch, depart for Ragusa and
visit the medieval city and capital of Sicilian baroque
style. Continue to Catania. Dinner and overnight.
After
breakfast, begin your exciting excursion to Mt. Etna, the highest active
volcano in Europe. Weather permitting you will reach 1800 meters. Continue
on to beautiful cliffside resort of Taormina and enjoy lunch in a
local restaurant. In the afternoon visit the Greek theater and
then leisure time for shopping or strolling the tiny streets. Continue
to Messina for dinner and overnight in front of the Straight.
The
next day, board
a boat to visit Reggio Calabria to view its famous Bronze di
Riace. Drive along the Thyrrenian coast with a first stop at Cefalu,
famous for its Norman style cathedral and wash house built in the rock.
Stop at Cape Orlando for lunch. Continue to Palermo.
Enjoy a farewell dinner and overnight in the Palermo
hotel. On the final day, after a buffet breakfast, your tour
ends.
