STARTING YOUR ITALY
TRIP RIGHT!
-
Ciampino airport management,
RyanAir and easyJet have pathetic flight information systems.
Sometimes flights show as landed in Rome when they have not even left
London. We request that you call or TEXT SMS MESSAGE US AT 0039 338
742 5100 if your flight is delayed more than 20 minutes, or if it is
cancelled.
-
If you arrive by ship, our Port of Call driver will wait
near the bottom of the gangway steps. If possible, separate
from the crowd and move toward the front of the ship. He will hold up a
card with your name on it.
-
Hundreds of people will exit
the ship when you dock and it can be chaotic. If you are
arriving on a ship, we request you talk with the purser's desk the day
before to get an idea when you will be allowed to exit, and if
possible notify us of that time. Otherwise we will be there at
the previously agreed upon time.
-
If you are taking the train,
be aware there are several "Rome" stations on major routes
into the city. You should exit at Roma Termini, the end of most
trains into Rome. Wait at the front of the train, next to the
locomotive.
-
Before your arrival in Italy,
we will provide you with the name and mobile number of your Rome Limo driver. We suggest you bring his phone number with you when you
come. If you have a triband/
trimode cell phone, we suggest you bring it to Italy. It will
work here. Check with your cellular provider for details.
-
Most customers take a number
of different flights, even changing carriers, before actually arriving in Italy. Please verify the ACTUAL FLIGHT NUMBER
and AIRLINE NAME for plane that will
physically arrive in Italy.
-
There are two airports near
Rome. The main airport for most airlines is Fiumincio/FCO/Leonardo
da Vinci. The other is Ciampino, used by RyanAir, Easy Jet and private
planes. Please verify your arrival airport.
-
There is only one Rome cruise
ship port, the seaside town of Civitavecchia. It is about
1.5 hours outside of
Rome. There is only one port that services Naples, it is near
the center of that city. There is not an actual port in Sorrento,
rather cruise ships will tender you to a dock in the center of town.
Florence is serviced by the port of Livorno, about 1.5 hours away from
city center.
-
We suggest you talk to your
Rome Limo coordinator driver about our other programs, including Rome Tours,
Vatican Tours and Rome Sightseeing including Sparkling Rome by Nite.
Call Italy 334 379 4127 from anywhere in Italy.
